BBC Senior Producer of radio features and documentaries, Mark Rickards, will be giving a guest lecture to the 3rd year radio feature production students next Monday, 10th March, in PLT from 9-11 am. Mark has produced programmes across all BBC networks but mostly for BBC Radio 4. His work has taken him around the world, from the rainforests of South America to the edge of the Arctic circle in Alaska, bringing back the soundscapes and stories that can inspire and intrigue the listener. Mark will talk about the challenges and pleasures of making radio as well as passing on tips to aspiring programme makers. Anyone who is interested in working in radio – or getting a start in broadcasting – is very welcome.
